The Role
The Composites Technician is instrumental in building and assembling various composite components for our state-of-the-art drones. This role requires a combination of technical know-how, attention to detail, and hands-on skills to ensure the production of high-quality and durable drone parts.
Key Responsibilities
Composite Layup and Assembly: Fabricate and assemble composite parts using molds, hand tools, and automated machinery.
Quality Assurance: Inspect and test composite materials and parts to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
Material Preparation: Prepare composite materials for layup, including cutting, measuring, and mixing resins.
Tooling and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair molds, tools, and equipment used in the composite fabrication process.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other technicians to interpret plans and specifications.
Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest composite materials, fabrication techniques, and industry best practices.
Adaptability: Quickly adapt to new fabrication processes and materials as our drone technology evolves.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with composite materials in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of composite fabrication processes, including layup, curing, and trimming.
Familiarity with composite inspection and testing methods.
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in most offers and are considered part of Mach’s total compensation package.
