The Role
Lead strategy, capture, and program development across joint acquisition channels, with an emphasis on maritime and cross-domain capabilities. Oversee end-to-end execution of advanced technology programs, including VTOL drones, loitering munitions, unmanned surface systems, and C4ISR platforms. Coordinate across Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and cross-service innovation cells to ensure successful program capture, integration, and scale.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary interface between Mach Industries and Navy/Joint program offices, including NAVSEA, NAVAIR, ONR, MARCORSYSCOM, DIU, and AFWERX.
Shape and execute BD strategies for joint domain innovation efforts including autonomous systems, AI-enabled ISR, and expeditionary force capabilities.
Lead high-impact captures across SBIRs, BAAs, OTAs, and direct-to-Phase II/III pathways.
Develop compelling technical proposals, program roadmaps, and mission-specific CONOPS aligned to customer needs.
Drive early customer validation through operational demonstrations, touchpoints, and warfighter experimentation.
Collaborate with internal engineering, ops, and manufacturing teams to align technical development with contract execution milestones.
Own strategic account relationships with key uniformed and civilian leaders across DoD acquisition and user communities.
Track and analyze funding trends, threat drivers, and geopolitical shifts shaping the future of joint capability needs.
Actively represent Mach at key trade shows, defense summits, technology evaluations, and congressional briefings.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of defense industry experience with demonstrated results in Joint or Navy program environments.
Deep understanding of acquisition strategies, including PPBE, OTA, SBIR, and rapid prototyping.
Proven track record of cross-service collaboration and joint capability integration.
Experience with C4ISR, autonomous systems, and maritime/air platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, national security, or business; advanced degree or JPME a plus.
Strong network across NAVSEA, ONR, NAVAIR, DIU, and service labs or acquisition commands.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proposal writing and executive brief development experience required.
U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
