Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Controls Engineer to oversee and optimize end-to-end production processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and seamless integration of materials, systems, and workflows. This role involves leveraging MES/ERP/MRP systems to manage production schedules, material requirements, and kitting operations while collaborating with engineering, supply chain, and production teams.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage the end-to-end production flow, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards
Maintain production schedules through the coordination of planning and shortage management in the production build
Support internal logistics processes through innovative staging workflow of materials
Perform and organize kitting, de-kitting, and inventory management to support seamless material flow to production
Validate and assist in the conversion of engineering BOMs (eBOM) into manufacturing BOMs (mBOM) for accurate kitting and lifecycle management
Reconcile BOMs, monitor material conformity, and ensure proper documentation for production readiness
Assess and optimize MES/ERP/MRP systems for effective production planning, coordination, and issue resolution
Collaborate on ERP/MES system stand-up and maintenance to enhance production coordination and data accuracy
Drive system and process enhancements to address production constraints and supply chain inefficiencies
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align material requirements, resolve data issues, and maintain schedule fidelity
Leverage knowledge regarding material requirements, alternates, consumables, spares, attrition, yield, lead times, quality flags, and other data sets relevant to the successful execution of scheduled build and test delivery
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
5+ years of supply chain, inventory, or manufacturing experience
3+ years of experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MES
Strong understanding of ERP/MRP/MES systems and their interdependencies.
Experience in production planning, material management, and supply chain processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
Ability to bridge communication gaps and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
