The Opportunity at Komodo Health:
We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join the accounting team. The mission of Komodo’s General Ledger Accountant is to support the growth of the Company and its functions through managing the general ledger, and other tasks needed. This role will report to the Senior Accounting Manager
Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have…
- Contribute to the execution of monthly and annual close processes including completing reconciliations, preparation of journal entries, escalation, resolution of issues, and meeting all set deadlines.
These are the essential job duties you will be responsible for …
- Prepare certain monthly account reconciliations, including fixed assets and cash
- Initiate the process and work with operations to establish fixed assets
- Process asset disposals and record any gain or loss
- Run depreciation procedures to record monthly depreciation
- Perform all fixed asset reconciliations from subledger listing to general ledger
- Prepare fixed asset roll forwards for financial reporting during month-end and quarter close
- Assist with month-end close process and annual audit of the financial statements
What you bring to Komodo Health:
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, and month end close
- Fluent in English - verbal & written business communication
- Knowledge of key tools (Excel, Google Workspace, PowerPoint etc.)
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Netsuite, Quickbooks, etc.)
- Able to work in an agile, fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment
- A learning mindset, growth orientation, intellectual honesty, pride in delivering the wow, and a belief in enjoying the ride (behaviors aligning with Komodo’s values)

- B/A in Accounting or Finance is preferred

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
